Surprise Laguna Beach Proposal | Shaw’s Cove, CA

This Laguna beach proposal was so fun to photograph! When Tucker called me up and asked if I could help him stage a surprise Laguna beach proposal for his girlfriend Samantha, I was thrilled. Crafting these kinds of moments is what it’s all about! Together we came up with a plan to create the perfect surprise proposal for the two of them.

A Surprise Laguna Beach Proposal

Samantha had no idea that our planned photo shoot was going to turn into a surprise Laguna beach proposal! She thought that she and Tucker were just going to take some fun photos on the beach, so we headed down at golden hour and started to take some pictures. Then our plan came into play.

I asked Samantha to turn and look out towards the ocean, and Tucker quickly got down on one knee. When he was in position, I told Samantha that the light wasn’t good where she was standing and asked her to turn around. She saw him kneeling there and she was shocked! Both of them were instantly emotional, and it was beautiful to witness them share their love and dream about the future together.

A Day of Joy

This Laguna beach proposal might have started with some happy tears, but it swiftly moved into laughter. These guys are so fun and playful – you can really feel their joy in these photos as they savor their first moments as fiancés!

The beach is the perfect place to play and let your childlike side take over, and watching Samantha and Tucker as they ran into the water, swung each other around, and danced on the sand, I was so convinced that their life together is going to be just as light-hearted. It was a real honor to be able to capture their excitement in this once-in-a-lifetime moment!
