Los Angeles elopements are becoming more popular especially during 2020 when covid hit and couples were changing their big wedding plans to elopements instead. City elopements aren’t something I’m all about but when Stephanie and Juan decided to change their plans of having a LA wedding with their family to a Los Angeles elopement, I did some research on the best Los Angeles elopement locations to fit their cool city vibe. When looking for the perfect LA elopement location, I remembered the Griffith observatory and how unique of a place it is. I thought it would be the perfect spot for their intimate Los Angeles elopement. The only catch was, to be the crowds we would have to start their elopement super early. Stephanie and Juan decided on an early morning elopement at Griffith Observatory for their wedding.
On the day of their Los Angeles elopement at Griffith observatory , the place was so crowded and we definitely weren’t expecting that. I walked around the Griffith observatory with Juan looking for alternative options for their elopement ceremony. We looked down the trail and found a city look out spot that looked more private so we had their family walk down and gather around.
Whats better then the Los Angeles skyline as a backdrop for your Los Angeles elopement?! Stephanie and Juan read their vows in front of their family members and the many tourists who decided to crowd around. They finally got to say I do after months of changes and planning new wedding after wedding. After their ceremony I got to take Stephanie and Juan aside for some epic couple portraits around the Griffith observatory.
Although it was a crazy year of planning new weddings for these two, I’m so glad they got to have a little Los Angeles elopement to solidify their marriage! I’m so obsessed with how their photos came out and would highly recommend the Griffith observatory to anyone who’s looking to plan a Los Angeles elopement
