Laguna Beach is one of the prettiest stretch of beaches on the west coast. It’s the perfect place for a dreamy Laguna Beach engagement shoot with its rocky beaches, good weather and variety of different looking beaches. If you decide on a Laguna Beach engagement shoot, aim for doing your session in the fall or early spring when the summer crowds have gone and you have the whole beach to yourself. To help you figure out the best location for your laguna beach shoot here are my top beaches to shoot at.
Table Rock Beach
Table rock beach is the prettiest little neighborhood cove beach in Laguna. At low tide you can walk along the beach and scale the little mounds of rocks for the dreamiest beach photos. The trick to having a successful Table rock engagement shoot is to go at low tide, sunrise (no crowds), and bring a few outfit changes to change it up and get more variety.
The montage/ treasure island beach
One of my favorite Laguna beach engagement shoot locations is The montage beach/ treasure island beach. The montage beach is gorgous because of its tide pools and rocky arch that is accessable only during low tide. Because the beach is part of the montage in laguna beach it gets taken over by tourists year round so plan for a sunrise engagement session to get the place to yourself.
Crescent Bay
Located in the northern part of Laguna, Crescent bay is one of my favorite engagement photo locations in Laguna beach because it is a large cove that features big rock formations to walk on and get some amazing photos. Crescent bay is also a beautiful place to elope or have a wedding.
Victoria beach has to be the most requested beach for engagement photos in Laguna beach because of its cliffside lighthouse. Although an amazing location, victoria beach can be super tricky to shoot at so be sure to check all the conditions before hiking down to the beach.
Shaws Cove
Shaws cove is a little secluded cove in a neighborhood at the northern end of Laguna beach. I absolutely looooove shaws cove for so many reasons! It’s rarely crowded because many tourists(and locals!) don’t know where it is. Shaws cove is also super easily accessible and parking is easy to find. Also if you shoot at sunset, the sun sets right behind the little cliffside in the back which makes for some amazing backlit photos
Feeling inspired for your Laguna beach shoot?! Let’s set one up! I’m so down to run around the beach with you and your love, creating fun memories and capturing that yummy golden hour light!
