Santa Barbara Courthouse wedding

From the very first phone call, Julissa, Matthew and I just hit it off. I could already tell they were two people who were down to Earth and were just excited for their special day with their favorite people. I met them at their LA engagement session and I had the best time getting to know them more before the wedding. When the wedding came around, I couldn’t wait to capture their Santa Barbara wedding! Julissa and Matthew started with getting ready at the Hotel Californian, the coolest hotel in Santa Barbara. The whole getting ready experience was laid back and you could just feel the happiness radiating off of everyone. We did an intimate first look at Hotel Californian that left everyone in tears, before heading off to the Santa Barbara Courthouse for their wedding ceremony. Julissa and Matthew included the closest people to them to join in their wedding day. Their wedding ceremony at the Santa Barbara courthouse was emotional and beautiful. We got so lucky to have cloud covering for the perfect lighting all day. I got to create some magic around Santa Barbara with them for their couples portraits. J+M had mentioned to me how important capturing moments was for them but Julissa still wanted to have an editorial flare so we did just that. We photographed their couples portraits at the cutest bar on State Street before they headed off to celebrate with everyone at Villa and Vine. I’m always a huge fan of some alone time for my couples on their wedding day. It really slows down the day a little bit and it’s so special to have that time together.

Over at Villa and Vine, Events by Tiffany J had set everything up perfectly! Julissa and Matthew arrived to the dreamiest courtyard filled with all their loved ones.
