Big Bear maternity session // Angie + Dillon

I met Angie and Dillon a few years ago before they hired me to shoot their engagement photos in Japan. We spent 2 weeks traveling around Japan, shooting their engagements in the coolest locations like Mt Fuji, Nara deer park and the cherry blossoms in Tokyo, to name a few. These two became like family so I was extra heart broken that they had to postpone their wedding because of Covid last year. It was such an amazing surprise to get a call from Angie letting me know she was pregnant and that she wanted me to photograph their maternity photos. Knowing Angie I knew she wasn’t going to do just some average maternity session. She suggested doing a winter themed maternity session in Big Bear Lake and I was all for it! Big Bear is the perfect place for maternity photos! Ive always thought it would be fun to shoot Big Bear Maternity photos because you don’t see too many maternity sessions done there, especially in the dead of winter. We headed up to Big Bear Lake the week before Christmas and shot right down by the lake. Angie didn’t disappoint with her amazing outfit choices(scroll down to see what I mean!). Not only did we get to shoot some beautiful Big Bear maternity photos but we also got to catch up + chat about their dream wedding they are still planning to have later this year. I’m so excited to see these two be parents and see the baby at the wedding!
