Caitlyn and Griffin hired me back in 2019 for their Coffees cove ranch wedding on the Mendocino coast. I was so excited because me and Caitlyn connected over the phone so well and their wedding venue looked like such an amazing place to photograph. Fast forward a couple weeks and I got to meet Caitlyn in person over a wine date in San Francisco. She’s one of those people that you could talk to forever. She’s the sweetest! I was looking forward to their Mendocino coast wedding and then the pandemic hit in 2020. They ultimately postponed their Cuffey’s cove ranch wedding for the summer of 2021. I was able to photograph their elopement in San Francisco later in 2020 where I got to meet Griffin finally as well. These two are so fun together and its so easy to see how much they love each other. When spring of 2021 rolled around and no end to the pandemic was in sight, they postponed again to summer of 2022. The two months leading up to their wedding I think we all couldn’t really believe it was finally happening! I arrived to Cuffey’s Cove ranch on the Mendocino coast a little early to scout the area. This venue is huge! And so gorgeous! Cuffey’s Cove ranch wedding venue is unique in that they allow you to rent the property for the weekend and you can have glamping sites set up for your guests to enjoy. Caitlyn and Griffin made their wedding a wedding weekend at Cuffey’s cove ranch. It was a beautiful day on the coast with blue skies and the ocean breeze flowing through the air. I started the day off with Caitlyn getting ready at the sweetest little house at Cuffey’s cove ranch that over looks the ocean. The guys got ready at a little house up the hill across the barn which was also super photogenic. Since Caitlyn saved her original wedding dress for their wedding day, they had a sweet little first look before their ceremony.
Their ceremony was held up on the hill overlooking Cuffey’s cove ranch and the coastline. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful ceremony site. They did their long awaited wedding ceremony and then we headed back down the hill for some bride and groom shots. By then the clouds had rolled in so we were a little bummed because I know how much Caitlyn had been waiting for those epic golden hour photos. We got some fun and romantic shots before heading into the barn for their reception. About 45 minutes later I looked outside the barn to the prettiest golden light seeping through the barn doors. I grabbed them and we headed out for the most amazing golden hour portraits! The sunset was unreal! Check them all out below to see what I mean.
Forever happy these two were up for running out in the middle of their reception for some epic photos! So worth it!
They ended their wedding day with the wildest dance party! This is a wedding day I’ll never forget and I’m so grateful they held out for their perfect day even after so many years. Congrats C+ G!
