Looking for outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area? If you have your heart set on an outdoor wedding, I’m with you!
After years working as a wedding photographer, I’ve concluded that there’s nothing quite like gathering all your favorite people together in the middle of some stunning natural beauty (and it makes for some pretty amazing pictures, too!). The Bay Area is uniquely full of incredible opportunities to do just that. So, without further ado, let me walk you through ten of my all-time favorite outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area!
If you’re dreaming of a Yosemite outdoor wedding, look no further than the iconic Evergreen Lodge! Just a few hours away from the Bay Area, the Evergreen is a gorgeous lodge that offers the opportunity to get married under Yosemite’s soaring pine trees. I love the rustic beauty of this forest getaway!
You have the option to host your guests for a reception in the hall of the Lodge, but one of the things that makes this one of the most striking outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area is the open plaza between the lodge and the trees. With strings of lanterns or lights casting a soft glow over everything, you can sit there and dine under the stars!
Northern California’s wild coastline is one of the most alluring reasons to get married in the Bay Area. If it’s a coastal wedding you want, Cuffey Cove Ranch is an amazing choice. A delightful historic ranch perched above the sea on rolling hills, the property offers sweeping views of the ocean and dreamlike privacy for you and your favorite people.
The barn has been converted into an incredible venue, while the beautiful Kenney House is the perfect place for your wedding party to stay.
Waterfall Lodge in Santa Cruz is a wonderful example of one of the outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area: not only is it nestled among redwoods, but the nearby waterfall and stream is so blissful that you can fall asleep (or party the night away!) beside it.
With an intimate paved grove among the trees, outdoor dance floors, and a stylish barn-conversion, Waterfall Lodge gives you plenty of options to design a day that feels just like you.
This 200-acre eco-estate in the heart of the Sierra Nevadas is an all-inclusive outdoor wedding venue in the Bay Area that will take your breath away. Twenty Mile House can do rustic boho or effortless elegance – with multiple beautiful spaces, from lush gardens to forest groves to a footbridge over a rushing creek. If you’re looking for outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area, you have to check this one out!
Deer Park Villa is one of my favorite forest outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area – gathering to celebrate a wedding in their grove of redwoods is truly something special.
This entire venue is dedicated to weddings, which means that it has been designed for your whole day to run smoothly; it also means that when you book Deer Park Villa, you get the entire 4-acre property to yourself. This really makes it feel like a magical getaway for you and your guests!
If you’re looking for luxury, Chalet View Lodge will deliver! This is one of the outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area that has been featured in a host of magazines, including Brides and Vogue. Upon visiting it, you’ll see why! With a glimmering pond, expansive golf course, and even an on-site brewery, this mountainous resort is the perfect combination of elegance and adventure.
Park Winters stands out among outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area for its unique charm. A quaint restored Victorian inn is at the heart of these pristine grounds, which features winding gardens and even an organic farm. With views of the glorious surrounding countryside, you have a variety of options for where you’d like to hold your ceremony or entertain your guests, whether that’s under lush trellises, by historic fountain features, or in their beautiful event barn.
If you’re looking for intimate outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area, you should definitely check out Mcevoy Ranch! With olive orchards, vineyards, and ponds – all settled among the beautiful hills of Marin’s wine country – you have plenty of options here to create the wedding day of your dreams! Mcevoy Ranch is a unique and characterful spot, well worth visiting – keep in mind, though, that they currently have a 50-person cap on their wedding packages.
With a meadow overlooking the San Francisco Bay, flourishing redwood groves, and charming interiors, the Mountain Terrace is a staple of the outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area. Windows that open over the deck with views out through the meadow help to keep you connected to the outdoors even if you choose to take some of your celebration inside.
This charming family-run dairy and organic apple farm has everything I love about barn weddings. Olympia’s Valley Estate features many stunning spaces – get married under a towering walnut tree, or on a glorious hillside – but in my opinion, the true stunner is their weeping willow pond. It’s a green oasis, and I haven’t seen anything quite like it among wedding venues in the Bay Area.
If you want to move celebrations inside, their historic barn is spacious and beautiful, with plenty of those little details that make somewhere feel truly special.
As you can see, there are some fairly fabulous outdoor wedding venues in the Bay Area. This has simply scratched the surface of all that this part of the world has to offer, but I hope that these recommendations have sent you on your way to finding the perfect venue for your celebrations!
